The Gaedera universe
Gaedera is a world divided up among squabbling patron deities, each manifesting their power as a unique strain of magic. In Astra, Ihir's power grants flight. In Aora, luck manipulation is an art. In Bel, proto-computer programmes command deities. In every place, these cultures embrace their local magic strains and grow around them.
The Gaedera universe consists of three major sub-projects and a large amount of worldbuilding material, including a constructed language.
Eagles and Swans
The main story set within this universe, Eagles and Swans is a political fantasy story about Ruthenia Cendina, student and mechanic.
When Ruthenia was ten, her parents were executed for violating holy law. A childhood of homelessness ends in finding a job with the inventor Titanio Calied. Now a part-time mechanic and a student at an uptown school, she must simultaneously navigate the politics of the upper class and the New Town's underbelly.
Then a young goddess rises in the sea, wreaking meteorological havoc on Astra, and the kings find themselves forced to a standstill by the very religious law that has been the bedrock of the kingdom. In the wake of this disaster, Ruthenia soon finds herself involved in an underground project far more heretical than her parents'.
